A health tech firm, Wellahealth, has partnered with telecommunication giant, MTN, to enhance the affordability and accessibility of health insurance for Nigerians.

This alliance leverages MTN’s extensive reach and digital platform to extend the reach of Wella Health’s microhealth plans, addressing the healthcare needs of underserved communities across Nigeria.

Speaking on the partnership, the Business Development Head at WellaHealth, Olanrewaju Akintobi, in a statement said the move would augment its commitment to providing quality healthcare to all segments of society.

“The partnership will allow access to Wella Health’s micro health plans for purchase on the MTN app, providing users with a convenient and streamlined way to access healthcare coverage. The MTN app, boasting over 4 million daily visits, is a gateway for users to discover and purchase a wide range of services, including Wella Health’s micro health plans,” Akintobi said.

According to him, Wella Health offers microhealth plans designed to cover essential health expenses, and these plans are tailored to meet the diverse healthcare needs of individuals and families, ensuring that healthcare remains within reach for everyone, regardless of income or background.

“By integrating our microhealth plans into the MTN app, we are making it easier than ever for individuals to protect themselves and their families against unforeseen health expenses. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to driving affordability and accessibility in the healthcare sector, ensuring that quality healthcare remains accessible to all segments of society.

“Wella Health’s micro health plans are priced at just 600 naira and 800 naira per month, ensuring that individuals can access quality healthcare coverage without breaking the bank.
